In 2022, the White House brought together representatives from 37 countries and 13 global companies, including Flexxon, to discuss coordinated action against ransomware and related cybercrime. The meeting focused on international cooperation, private-sector involvement, cryptocurrency misuse, and strategies to reduce the financial and operational impact of ransomware attacks.
Flexxon was one of 13 global companies invited to the White House for the Second International Counter Ransomware Initiative Summit, held on 31 October and 1 November 2022. Representatives from 36 countries and the European Union worked with private-sector organisations to strengthen ransomware resilience, disrupt cybercriminal operations, counter illicit cryptocurrency activity, and improve international threat-information sharing.
The White House is organizing an in-person meeting today in Washington; comprising an amalgamation of 37 Countries and 13 Global Companies. The agenda of the meeting is to tackle the progressing threat of Ransomware and other cybercrime, encompassing the illegitimate use of cryptocurrencies as quoted by a senior US official.
This year’s in-house meeting is a sequel to last year’s virtual inaugural meeting of “the informal Counter-Ransomware Initiative”, offering an exceedingly diversified experience by incorporating seven more countries and integrating the private sector players for the first time.
The Cybersecurity landscape is continually evolving; the need of the hour is to stay ahead and not lag behind in Ransomware cyber-warfare. Flexxon is exhilarated to participate in this global endeavor by the global companies to combat cybercrime.
